Haiku Review: John Wooden's Lifetime Observations

John Wooden reprintImage by MarkMcCartney via FlickrHere's some poetic book jabber.  I just finished reading Wooden:  A lifetime of observations and reflections on and off the court.

John Wooden was a wise man with lessons to teach us all.  Thank you for using you gifts to make the world better for you being in it.

He asks a few questions in the book that I can't wait to pose to my students.  I wonder what they will say?
  1. Why is it so hard for so many to realize that winners are usually the ones who work harder, work longer, and as a result perform better?
  2. Why is it so much easier to complain about the things we do not have than to make the most of and appreciate the things we do have?
